The VF-31J Siegfried piloted by Hayate Immelmann arrives with replacement-style three-stage transformation ("Shortcut Change") and the HG "Macross" line's first insert molding, balancing high quality with ease of assembly. Parts swap simplifies the deformation sequence, while preserving HG-style ease of build, wide articulation, and refined silhouettes for each form. The unit transforms easily between Battroid, GERWALK, and Fighter modes, and each form is shaped with the original setting illustrations in mind. Eliminating complex internal structures and placing motion points where posing actually needs them yields a new tier of articulation.

The container unit reproduces the stowed state via parts swap. The minigun pod swings forward on an axis. In addition to two knives, two pilot figures, a Freya Wion figure, and a multi-drone-style display base are included. Expressive hand parts cover a range of poses, and the polarized canopy opens and closes.
