HG 1/100 YF-19 from "Macross Plus" — the first entry in Bandai's new HG 1/100 Macross plastic-model line, launched for the show's 40th anniversary.

The kit introduces a re-engineered "Shortcut Change" three-stage transformation, rebuilt around fresh checks on transformation, form, and articulation. Some parts are swapped to keep the sequence simple, so the unit moves between Battroid, GERWALK, and Fighter modes easily. Because Shortcut Change isn't bound by the constraints of a fully internal transformation, each mode chases its setting-image silhouette closely. Removing complex internal structure opens up wider articulation, raising posing flexibility to a new level. Polarised molding on the canopy shifts color with the lighting angle, and effect parts capture the Pinpoint Barrier Punch. An ultra-thin Namer sticker delivers strong color coverage even over dark molded parts.
